Evanridge Properties LLP is owned by UK companies controlled by the following shareholders, who have a collective experience in successful property investment of more than 20 years:
Bill Ridge
From a family background in manufacturing Bill has overseen and developed a highly profitable agricultural business, which he has used as a base for increasing involvement in property and land based investments overseas. In 2003 he was involved in the formation of Liberty Farms. This investment company, which locates and invests in land producing soft commodities, has grown rapidly and now has interests in large scaleagricultural ventures in the US, Argentina and New Zealand.
In addition to his agricultural investments Bill has been actively involved in the property sector for a number of years. Celtic Shire Property Ltd, of which Bill is a director, invested in commercial property in the UK before broadening its activities through involvement with two development projects in Lithuania.
Bill is also one of the founders of Evanridge Properties LLP, and his networking and wide ranging business experience has contributed greatly to the success of the partnership since its inception. In all, Bill is a director of 11 companies and LLPs, most of them linked to property investment.
Huw Evans
After leaving university Huw began his career with HMRC, becoming an Inspector Principal responsible for a substantial portfolio of taxpayer companies and larger partnerships in central London, including numerous property investment and development companies. He was then recruited by KPMG, spending time as Senior Tax Manager heading up the Cardiff region’s Tax Advisory practice. During this period he provided taxation advice on numerous substantial property transactions.
Huw’s specialist expertise in property investment taxation was further developed as Tax Partner at Bevan & Buckland Chartered Accountants. From 2000 onwards an increasing proportion of his work involved tax and fiscal structuring in respect of property transactions and providing tax and financial advice to professional investors and developers.
In 2004, Huw left Bevan and Buckland to focus on the operation of his property interests, which included the formation of Evanridge Properties LLP in July 2005. His expertise in tax efficient structures and property investment was of great value in the launch of Evanridge Swedish Property LLP and the subsequent Evanridge investments. Huw is now a director of 18 companies and LLPs, eight of them in Sweden, all involved in property investment.
Nigel Evans
After taking full ownership of the family tourism and agricultural business in 1990, Nigel began to explore the potential for expansion into strategic property investment. In 1999 he began adding equities to the company’s existing residential and commercial portfolio and by 2002 further commercial property investments had been added. More recently, the portfolio has been further expanded with the addition of residential and commercial investments in the UK, Sweden and Lithuania.
As well as running the original family business, Nigel has also been instrumental in establishing a number of other property investment businesses. In 2004 Nigel recognised the value of creating a partnership dedicated to identifying and managing tax efficient international property investments for sophisticated high net‐worth investors, overseas investors and small institutions. Following considerable research, Evanridge Properties LLP was formed in July 2005.
By January 2006 Evanridge Properties LLP had established an investment fund focused on the Swedish market, with a second and third following in June 2007 and June 2010. Nigel is a director of First Milk the UK’s largest dairy cooperative and holds directorships in 17 UK and Swedish property investment companies and LLPs.
